Improving the Eye Exam Claim Submission Process
We’re making improvements to the Provider Portal to help streamline claim submissions and reduce frustration. These updates are designed to make the process more intuitive, improve clarity, and ensure accurate documentation—while keeping the interface familiar.
What’s Changing?
- Simplified Guidance: Info bubbles will provide clear, easy-to-read tips for entering diagnosis, procedure, and CPTII codes.
- Helpful Resources: A new hyperlink to the CPTII Code Tipsheet will be added for quick access to best practices.
- Dedicated CPTII Field: A new field with a drop-down list of CPTII codes will support data collection and provide a complete picture of the patient’s exam.
- Better Readability: Larger text and darker field outlines will improve visibility across the claim submission section.
Why These Changes Matter
These enhancements are based on provider feedback and aim to make claim submission faster, clearer, and less frustrating—while supporting accurate data collection for diabetic eye exams.
